Donald Trump's Ambassador To Greece, Kimberly Ann Guilfoyles Credit Card

 Nadene Goldfoot

Kimberly Ann Guilfoyle born March 9, 1969) is an American diplomat, with a Puerto Rican mother and father from Ireland, a   media personality, and former prosecutor who has served as the United States ambassador to Greece since 2025. She's of the Catholic persuasion.   She served as an advisor and led the fundraising division of the Donald Trump 2020 presidential campaign. She served as an advisor and led the fundraising division of the Donald Trump 2020 presidential campaign.

Then there's the news report by David Muir of The U.S. Ambassador to Greece, Kimberly Guilfoyle, who requested $100,000 from a Donald Trump donor to pay her American Express credit card bill.

How can any American woman run up a credit card like that?  At first I thought she was using money borrowed on her credit card to be the big spender donating money to some cause for her notoriety.   Seems she's used to being paid for who she is in big bucks.

She became a prosecuting attorney in San Francisco and Los Angeles, California. She was an assistant district attorney in San Francisco from 2000 to 2004.

From 2001 at age 32  to 2006, she was married to Democratic politician Gavin Newsom, and was first lady of San Francisco during Newsom's first two years as mayor of that city. She was the fiancĂ©e of Donald Trump Jr.at age 52 from 2021 until they separated late in 2024.

Guilfoyle worked at Fox News from 2006 to 2018, and co-hosted The Five on the network.  She later joined America First Policies, a pro-Trump super PAC, to campaign for Republicans in the 2018 midterm elections. On December 10, 2024, then-President-elect Trump nominated her as the U.S. ambassador to Greece, and she was confirmed by the Senate on September 18, 2025 by age 56.

According to text messages published by The Wall Street Journal in October 2026, while preparing for her Senate confirmation hearings in 2025 Guilfoyle asked Eric Deters to send a wire transfer for $100,000 to pay down her American Express account "in a way that wouldn't leave a paper trail."

Deters is a Trump-allied donor and business owner in Kentucky, and has run for political office several times including a primary challenge against the Republican incumbent in Kentucky's 4th congressional district in 2024. Deters reportedly declined to send her the money, saying he would get in trouble with his wife.

Was that it?  Is she giving up getting that money somehow for some reason?  Could it become the donation Trump spoke of that would pay for the grand ballroom he is building in the East Wing?  Or would it be to give to some terrorist organization she may have promised money?  And this Deters;  how is it that he has so much money he can loan out $100,000 to Guilfoyle?  What kind of business?  Law and a Pizza business?  Really !

On September 29, 2025, Guilfoyle was sworn in and became the first female Ambassador of the United States to the Hellenic Republic. She arrived in Greece on November 1, 2025, and she presented her credentials to the President of Greece, Konstantinos Tasoulas, on November 4, 2025.

According to The Wall Street Journal, Guilfoyle allegedly said at a dinner in Athens in March 2026 that the United States had been involved in the fall of the Bolojan government of Romania, adding that the United States could do the same to any country; That sounds like a threat.  Guilfoyle's lawyer disputed the account, while the Financial Times independently corroborated The Wall Street Journal's report.

Now, Greece and Israel are good friends.  Greece and Israel have built a deep strategic, military, and economic alliance, though the partnership faces growing domestic political friction.

Greece and Israel hold regular joint aerial and naval exercises (such as Blue Flag and Noble Dina).

In August 2026, the two countries signed the Achilles Shield agreement, a €3 billion defense deal for Israel to help build a multi-layered air defense network (integrating David's Sling, SPYDER, and Barak MX systems) for Greece. The partnership is partly driven by mutual security concerns and long-standing tensions with Turkey in the Eastern Mediterranean.

Seniors Beware: Get Your Vaccines Somehow

 Nadene Goldfoot

Healthy mobile people lined up to receive their vaccines

The FDA granted an EUA to the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine, expanding availability in December 2020. Early 2021: Rollouts expanded gradually to older adults, essential workers, and eventually the wider general population.  Other types followed.

I live in an assisted Living Center.   People here want to be informed and perhaps even helped to remember an important date, especially those of us about medical needs.  That's why we live in ASSISTED LIVING and pay a fortune for it. Communication between staff and residents may need to be improved.

I seem to remember being in a drug store getting mine, with a prettier band-aid.  It had a picture on it.

Yesterday turned out to be a big disappointment.  We found out from the staff that the vaccines for the residents that come from Safeway, had come and gone.  They were told that some had received the vaccine.  My CT asked me if I had received any vaccines.  Of course, I hit the ceiling realizing that what I had questioned our head about early in September had been ignored at this proper timing.

I remember when vaccines first came to Portland--

A staff member of some authority has even lied to us saying we had notices on our doors about it.  No such notice came.  We who I asked are in agreement to that.  Now we have found out that this special staff member hadn't even started working here still a few months after last years' vaccines had been given to us.

healthy mobile people were receiving the proper information

Not all people want vaccines.  They are not getting them.  Some of us do want them.  My history demands them;  a history of asthma, age of 92, weak immune system, wearing a pacemaker to keep my heart pumping...

We were all gung ho in getting the vaccine, Remember?

Now, we face the problem of how and when to get the vaccine before we catch the viruses.

I feel it was the vaccine that kept me out of the hospital and being fairly healthy.

What we need:

Covid-19

influenza (flu)

RSV-respiratory virus

Shingles

High Prices Hit Assisted Living Pantry

 Nadene Goldfoot

                                       Living the Seinfeld life

The high prices of food have hit the pantry of our assisted Living quarters evidently for my $8,000 per month rent that included food that hasn't been enough to carry over today's prices and changes.

Today's main meal at noon was the pits;  the absolute pits.  It consisted of barbequed beef ribs and chicken, which turned out to be alfredo chicken, which meant it had a cream sauce on it, possibly with  or without cheese.  We start lunch with a green salad which was typical and good with honey mustard dressing and dried onions.

I chose the beef ribs.  That turned out to look lovely, just like beef ribs, only cutting into it found no bone at all.  Instead, it consisted of 4 ribbed shared forms made of hamburger with a brownish barbeque sauce that was good over them.  Nary a bone in the set.  Of course, it made cutting with our very dull knives a very easy chore that my fork did easily.

For a veggie, there was steamed Brussel sprouts, and that was well-done, and for the first time, too.  Brussel sprouts are a tough veggie if not well-done, and they usually weren't.

Pasta was on the menu, but they were out of any pasta and had nothing;  not even potatoes to take it's place. My table mate had chosen chicken and pasta and her plate was the sorriest looking site for a lunch;  one thin-sliced slab of chicken drowning in a yellow sauce.  That was it.  She hates veggies but  loved pasta.  Ha !

This was known to be our main meal of the day.  Thank goodness I had a big breakfast of fruit cup, 1/2 C. oatmeal with raisins and brown sugar, and 2 fried eggs.

Can't wait for our surprise for dinner which I usually make into a very light meal.. We try to be very grateful, having a chef and a server on duty.  Life could be worse.

Well now, our ship finally came in.  Our chef was great for dinner, and I chose a salmon and citrus salad, again with a bit of honey mustard dressing.  The citrus was baby mandarin pieces with blueberies, and the salmon was fresh and perfect on a bed of endive.  This chef on duty is terrific.  We are blessed. Always dieting, that's me. Dieting, keeping kosher and trying to get the necessities like protein.   So I try to stay away from desserts.

Now, the next day, Saturday, and the lunch again started well, a green salad, but there was nothing I could eat except a Turkey burger which I had.  Dinner has not a thing I can eat except another turkey burger or vanilla ice cream, so I have taken my leave and will see what my son has stocked for me in my little freezer for days such as this. The extras included cole slaw and brussel sprouts again which I had with my turkey burger at lunch.  No protein.  Not even any carbohydrate like rice or potatoes!  I could have had a taco with cheese and chicken in it--no way, not kosher, or another salad of green with some chicken on it, after talking to our CT.  By now, I have just lost any interest in a lite supper.  Picky me.

Abraham Accords Viewing Iran's Getting Even

 Nadene Goldfoot

The Abraham Accords include:  United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Morocco, Sudan, and Kazakhstan and USA.

Kazakhstan in north eastern in olive green.  Kazakhstan, a Central Asian country and former Soviet republic, extends from the Caspian Sea in the west to the Altai Mountains at its eastern border with China and Russia.

Abraham Accord nations largely maintain their normalized ties with Israel while heavily balancing their diplomatic and security calculus regarding regional tensions involving Iran. Kazakhstan joined the Abraham Accords in November 2025 as a strategic, pragmatic move to court favor with Washington, attract American economic investment, and advance its multi-vector foreign policy.
  • Building US Ties: Astana wants active relationships with Western nations to balance heavy influences from neighboring Russia and China.  Joining the Abraham Accords helps draw economic interest and trade deals from US government agencies and private sectors.   The partnership aligns with US interests in securing rare earth minerals and trade routes in Central Asia.
  • Total Volume: Out of roughly 4,000 to over 6,700 total Iranian drone and missile barrages during peak phases of the conflict, a significant majority landed across the Persian Gulf and neighboring regions. This acts as punishment for being connected to Israel and the USA with the Abraham Accords.
    Current Dynamics with Israel

Bodies of civilians murdered at the Nova Party

Dozens of body bags of Israeli youth massacred by Hamas terrorist during the Nova festival

    • Ties Remain Intact: Despite regional conflicts and widespread devastation in Gaza following the October 2023 outbreak of the Israel-Hamas war, core 14-billion-dollar-plus trade and diplomatic frameworks established by the Abraham Accords (signed by the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain, alongside Morocco and Sudan) have not been officially broken or withdrawn from.
Bahrain is so small alongside UAE.
Situated near the western shore of the Persian Gulf, the country comprises a small archipelago of 33 natural islands and an additional 50 artificial islands, centered on Bahrain Island, which makes up around 80 percent of the country's landmass. Bahrain is situated between Qatar and the northeastern coast of Saudi Arabia,

    • Saudi Arabia is holding back from the Abraham Accords primarily because it refuses to normalize ties with Israel without a clear and credible pathway to a Palestinian state. October 7, 2023 should explain how Hamas has burned their bridges to that goal for sure with Israel for about the next 100 years, I believe;  my opinion here.  Hamas's goal, which is that of Iran, is to destroy Israel.  Even I, a little old lady, sees this, so all the countries should shape up about it.
    •  During the 2026 Iran war, Iran launched thousands of individual missile and drone strikes targeting multiple countries, including Abraham Accords signatory states like the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain.
    • Security & Economic Cooperation: The UAE and other signatories continue quiet or structured intelligence and security coordination with Israel, though public profiles of these partnerships fluctuate depending on local political pressures.   United Arab Emirates (UAE): Received the largest share of Iranian strikes—accounting for roughly 44% of the total volume (thousands of individual incoming drones and missiles aimed at infrastructure, airports, and commercial hubs)Bahrain: Targeted in approximately 9% of the strikes, which caused heavy structural damage to facilities including the Naval Support Activity (NSA) base and local energy/industrial sites.
    • Expansion Efforts: Broader regional expansion remains stalled or complicated; prospective mega-deals—such as formal normalization with Saudi Arabia—stay on hold or tied to demands for a credible pathway to Palestinian statehood.
    • Current Posture Toward Iran
      • Balancing and De-escalation: While the original architecture of the Accords was partly built around a shared regional containment strategy against Iran, Gulf states like the UAE simultaneously pursue independent diplomatic de-escalation channels with Tehran to protect their own economic and national security.
      • The "Iran Deal" Intersections: Recent U.S. and regional pushes have attempted to tie potential regional ceasefires, containment strategies, or broader normalization frameworks (including proposals floated for other regional actors) directly into broader accommodations or friction points involving Iran's nuclear ambitions.
      • Reports from the Christian Science Monitor show that the administration maintains a hardline military and economic stance to prevent Iran from obtaining a weapon.
